Hi Can anyone give me advice? I sail an 18í day boat with a lifting keel (a ëSeafarerí) in Plymouth. She sits on a drying trot mooring. I am thinking of getting something a bit bigger which I can go further afield in. After toying with the idea of long keels and fins, I have decided that I want to keep my mooring at all costs and that a lifting keel Sonata might be a good step up. I have three initial queries which I would be grateful for advice on: 1. Will a lifting keel Sonata dry happily (I sit on mud)? 2. How is the lifting keel controlled ñ is it manual or electric and where are the controls? The reason for asking is that I often sail single handed and it would be helpful to know this. 3. Is there anyone in Plymouth or the vicinity ñ Torbay to Falmouth - with a Sonata that I could have a look at? I may have to buy further afield and it would be helpful to have a good look at a Sonata before I start travelling. Many thanks Paul PS Brilliant web site!
