When a Lifting keel sonata dries out does the Stub sink into the mud/sand? If so what happens if there is buried chain/rock under the surface?

Dan I'm trying to figure this one out myself as you may have seen from my previous posting. From what I can gather, if the surface is soft, the stub, which I think is about 2' 6" will sink in. But if the surface is hard, it may not and there is a risk of the boat toppling at low water (assuming we are talking tidal here). I am looking at removable legs as an alternative to this - cheaper than the Duette bilge keel version! Hope this is of use. If others have more accurate info, I'd like to know myself!
