Inlands November weekend cancelled! The heavy rains in Cumbria have flooded the clubhouse at the Lake District Boat Club, so the November event has been cancelled. The March weekends of the Inland Champ's will definitely be going ahead.
The first of four weekend events for the Sonata Inland Championships will be held at Lake District Boat Club, Windermere on 25–26 October 2008. You can enter for some or all the events. Notice of race, and entry form can be downloaded from the events page.
Both printed and digital photographs of the 2008 Nationals are available from Paul Harkness Photography at very reasonable prices.
Dave Boatman in Blue Tack won the 2008 National Championships, followed by Martin Price (High & Dry) and Neil McLure (So). A report and results can be downloaded from the events page and photos are in the gallery section.
The Sonata Northern Championships are at Sunderland Yacht Club on 6th and 7th September. Download the entry form.
The latest edition of the National Sonata Class Rules is available free as an Adobe Acrobat .pdf file from the Technical Section of the RYA Web Site. The essence of the rules has not changed in the latest 2008 update – some issues have been clarified and the rules have been re-written to comply with the Equipment Rules of Sailing (ERS).
