Meet our new chairman – interview with Joe Cross
The 2014 championship, held at Brixham YC from 17th–20th July was won by Steve Goacher in Eric the Boat. Dave Matthews in "White Magic" was second with Kevin Cross in "Selene" one point behind. Son Joe Cross brought "Presto" into 4th place just 3 points behind his father. More information on the events page.
We paid you to race! The National Sonata Association runs a bursary scheme to encourage traveling to ‘away’ events. Full details in the 2011 Minutes in the Association Matters forum (this forum is available to current NSA Members only). At the 2012 AGM we agreed to double the bursary to £100 – a significant contribution to the expense of competing in ‘away’ events and a real incentive to rejoin your Association this year.
Don't forget your National Sonata Association subscription. Without member support we could no longer remain an RYA National Class, organise National and Regional events, this website and a lot more besides. Thanks.
As a member, this website is yours to contribute to and benefit from. Our fleets are spread all around the UK and Sonatas are to be found around the world, as our posts demonstrate. The site is the way to share your Sonata experience and make your views known and correspond directly with fellow Sonata sailors.
